Known as the “Realty King”, Patrick King began his real estate career in 2002 as a high end realtor for Prudential Gary Greene. Even prior to this prestigious position, Patrick always enjoyed the real estate business by investing in and rehabilitating distressed homes. The lack of service he received from realtors as an investor ultimately fueled his decision to become a real estate agent, mostly because he felt that people deserved much better attention and customer service than he had experienced. Patrick rightfully disagreed with the philosophy that people shouldn’t get better service based upon their income level.
Patrick’s drive to treat all customers with the utmost service – no matter how much they spend – has become his key to success. His high energy personality and powerful negotiating skills helps others to achieve their goals, while giving Patrick great pride and satisfaction in turning often bleak situations into positive outcomes. Coined by his clients as the “Realty King”, Patrick out-produced all of the newcomers to Prudential within his first year of business, landing him the coveted Rookie of the year award in 2002. He then became a multi-million dollar producer each year until he left in 2004 to learn the independent brokerage side of the business by joining forces with Lege Properties.
After learning the ins and outs, Patrick hit the ground running in a big way by opening his own independent brokerage in 2005. It was fittingly named Realty Kings Properties. Even with a humble beginning of only one assistant on his staff, Patrick’s company has grown to include three support members and ten licensed agents on his team.
Since opening his boutique brokerage in the Galleria Area, Patrick has sold an average of one home a week, or more. With now over 45 million in sales and over 400 properties sold since beginning his real estate career, Patrick consistently made the list of Houston Association of Realtors Top Producers Report in the years of 2007, 2009, 2010. This exclusive achievement is earned only by the Top 1% of 25,000 Realtors within the Houston Area.
Patrick is frequently called upon as an expert speaker in the real estate industry. In 2007, Patrick launched the highly successful “Empowered to Purchase” seminars which taught first time homebuyers how to be educated homebuyers. He has been a featured speaker at K.Hovnanian and Brighton Homes Buying Events, as well as various non-profit organizations around the Houston Area. Currently, Patrick instructs the very popular Home Buyer Education course sponsored by Avenue Community Development Center.
The ambition to empower and rally crowds of people is something Patrick has loved to do even since his youth. This ongoing ambition has resulted in Patrick earning several designations and certifications, such as: Accredited Buyer Representation (ABR), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Certified Real Estate Pricing Specialist (C-REP), Short Sale Foreclosure Resource (SFR), Texas Affordable Housing Specialist (TAHS), and Social Media Pro (SMP), Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE).
In addition to being an expert negotiator, speaker and real estate industry leader, Patrick is a loving husband with many friends and hobbies. She has an extensive lending background with a primary focus on first time homebuyers. A real estate lending expert, for five years, Yolonda was a Texas grant specialist for Countrywide Bank, training lenders in the grant process and on how to determine buyer and property eligibility. For two years, she worked as a preferred lender for KB Homes. Additionally, she is a Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) and has earned Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource Certification.
Yolonda regularly lectures and provides real estate instruction on the home buying process. Since 2006, she has served as the exclusive English instructor for Avenue CDC’s HUD Approved Homebuyer Education classes. She has Social Media Pro designation and is highly skilled in leveraging social media to increase sales.
Yolonda contributes to a number of industry committees, including the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) Governmental Affairs Committee (2009-2011), the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) Management Central Committee (2009-2011) and, formerly, the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR) Housing Initiatives Committee (2007-2008). A member of the Houston Independent Real Estate Brokers Association and an Accredited Buyers Representative (2008-present), she majored in Biology at the University of Houston.
